June Learning Lab

Strategic Selection and OnBoarding

Categories: TAHRA Learning Lab

Presented by Matt Thompson and Matt Bentz
The Thompson Bentz Group

Organizations are faced with many challenges as the workforce continues to change. This is the most diverse and multi-generational workforce in history and with this unique environment comes opportunity. Organizations can impact the bottom line and attract and retain top talent through Strategic Selection and OnBoarding. Proper selection with a consistent onboarding process ensures that the investment a company makes in it's people has value. During the lab we will investigate the costs of poor selection on the bottom line and the intangible effects the wrong candidate can have on an organization. Once the "right" candidate has been selected, it is equally important to onboard new employees in an engaging manner. Engaging employees from the "offer stage" through the first 90 days with a focused effort can ensure that new employee acclimates to the culture and makes a positive impact on the organization. The lab will also take us through evaluating current onboarding processes and potential opportunities.
