TAHRA will do its best to foster an online community that all of us can enjoy in a spirit of generosity and mutual respect. TAHRA will not sell or share your e-mail address or any other private information that you provide with anyone else.

Personal Attacks and Inappropriate Postings
TAHRA reserves the right to modify and/or remove posts and event listings that are inappropriate or abusive. We encourage discussion and debate in the forums, however if you are found to be attacking or harassing another individual, TAHRA retains the right to restrict your access to HR Forums.

Staying on Topic
Please keep your posts on topic. You can always start a new discussion thread, but if you post under an existing discussion thread, please keep your messages relevant to the subject matter being discussed.

Advertising and Spamming
Please do not post commercial advertisements of any kind, and do not spam (send unsolicited email) to other users. HR Forums is an opportunity to share your experience, knowledge and expertise. Commercial entries will be removed promptly.

No Job Postings
TAHRA has a separate webpage dedicated to posting HR employment opportunities. Therefore, we cannot allow any jobs to be posted freely in these discussion threads.

Privacy
Under no circumstances can you deliberately use someone else's name for your username. Please note that these discussion groups are public and can be read by other registered users. Always use caution when giving out any personal information about yourself.

Copyright Infringement
Please do not post material that is protected by copyright. If you want to point people to an article or resource, please list only the URL (web address) of the source, or where it can be found.

What are some best practices your company utilizes in your new hire orientation and/or onboarding process?

I send to the new employee's home: a Welcoming Letter, 2010 Calendar, and a Health Newsletter. By sending these to the home address, the spouse/significant other has access to the information as well.
