2009 SHRM Foundation Scholarships
Each year active SHRM Members are eligible to apply for scholarships through the SHRM Foundation to further develop in the field of human resources. For 2009, applications must be submitted online by July 15th to be considered.
There are several types of scholarship programs available. Click on the links below to access additional instructions and application forms:
Academic Scholarships ($1,375 award). Applicants must be pursuing either an undergraduate or graduate college degree in an HR-related field (includes business, psychology, organizational development, etc.) through an accredited institution of higher learning.
Barbara Sanchez Scholarship ($1,500 award). Applicants must be working full-time in human resources in the media field (print,
publishing, cable & satellite, broadcasting, motion picture,
internet or communications) and pursuing a college degree in human resources or related field.
Certification Scholarship for Chapter/State Councils ($750 award). Chapters and state councils may use these funds to create or expand a local certification training program or to purchase training materials for such programs.
Certification Scholarship for Individuals ($750 award). Individuals applying for this award must be working towards one of the following certifications: Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or California certification (CA).
