In this 2 hour workshop we will discuss the trends in the retirement landscape and offer you 5 ways to increase the effectiveness of your retirement plan, often with NO Additional cost to the employer.

Carter Cowan is an Investment Advisor Representative (IAR) with Northstar Wealth Management. He received a Bachelors in Finance from the University of Oklahoma and a Masters in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University. He also has attained certifications as an Accredited Investment Fiduciary and Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist. With over 16 years experience, Carter has seen multiple waves of change come to the retirement plan industry. As an IAR, Carter is able to serve as a Fee Based Retirement Plan Consultant which allows him to work with Any plan provider out there. This also allows him to offer low cost Institutional and Index Fund lineups to even small/medium sized businesses. As a member of TAHRA for over ten years, he focuses on serving as a resource for fellow TAHRA members and maintaining an eye toward reducing the workload and fiduciary impact that HR professionals are required to carry as a member (or lone survivor) of their retirement plan committee.

TAHRA is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP®. This program is valid for 2.00 PDCs for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP. For more information about certification or recertification, please visit shrmcertification.org.
