Position Summary:
As HR Generalist, your focus will be on developing and supporting positive employee relations, acting as coach and counselor for management and staff. This is a true generalist function, where you will be involved in all aspects of HR. You will have the opportunity to participate in all facets of the HR function and to take on projects of increasing complexity. Success in this role can lead to larger opportunities within Harsco worldwide.

Detailed Description:

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Recruitment Selection of candidates from advertisement to interviews through onboarding.
  • Conducting developing orientation onboarding practices.
  • Overseeing coordinating training of manager employees.
  • Coordinating and administering benefits programs including conducting annual open enrollment and various wellness initiatives.
  • Assisting with implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Investigating and resolving employee relations issues.
  • Tracking reporting metrics for staffing, compensation and other required HR functions.

Qualifications/Requirements

About You:

  • You will bring a Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related discipline with 2-6 years of experience.
  • You will have the ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and confidential information.
  • You will bring excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • You will have experience with HRIS systems (Oracle preferred) and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables & V-lookup).
  • You will bring knowledge of state & federal legislation pertaining to HR.
  • You will have the ability to work independently.

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in HR or PHR/SHRM-CP.
  • 5+ years’ experience in industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual in Spanish & English.
  • Previous lean or Six Sigma experience.
