July Learning Lab

Conflict Resolution - Don't just face it, embrace it!

Categories: TAHRA Learning Lab

Presented by Betty Scovil

This event will be a hybrid event. There will be limited in person attendance, so act fast!
Leadership Tulsa does not have a mask requirement in place for this event. If you would like to wear a mask, you may, but it is not required. There will be 2 people per 6 foot table and we will have stickers so you can indicate your comfort level when interacting with others.

As an HR professional, you have to wear many different hats. And, while you probably feel pretty comfortable wearing most of them, there’s one hat you probably don’t enjoy putting on - your conflict resolution hat. Resolving conflict means having to deal with sticky, unpleasant, and sometimes risky situations; it means finding an outcome that satisfies all parties without harming the company.

While this hat might never be added to your favorite hat collection, it can become one you wear with great confidence. Join this class to learn how to turn the worst situations at your company into an advantage that can leave your employees happier, your company healthier, and you on top of it all!

At this lab you will learn how to:

  • Recognize common causes and consequences of workplace conflict
  • Develop the right mindset, confidence, and skills to facilitate conflict resolution
  • Define HR responsibilities before, during, and after conflict resolution
  • Deploy strategies to minimize unhealthy workplace conflict
