The HR Solutions Consultant (HRSC) is a client-facing HR expert responsible for delivering high-quality service across a wide range of client accounts. This role requires a consulting mindset and the ability to manage complex projects while meeting billable hour goals. Consultants serve as strategic partners to clients, applying in-depth knowledge across core HR disciplines including recruitment and onboarding, compliance and employment law, payroll administration, and employee relations. They also provide consultative guidance in areas such as organizational development, performance and accountability systems, compensation strategy, and employee engagement initiatives. The consultant must be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to diverse industry needs, and maintaining clear, professional communication throughout the client lifecycle.

Detailed Description:

Role and Responsibilities

Client Service Delivery

  • Design and deliver HR solutions tailored to each clients unique workforce challenges.
  • Focus on risk mitigation, employee experience, and operational excellence.
  • Develop common HR solutions such as handbooks, job descriptions, processes, and training content aligned with current employment laws and best practices.

Project Management Prioritization

  • Effectively manage client workloads using Trello and QuickBooks Workforce.
  • Accurately estimate time commitments, track tasks, and proactively address scope creep or anticipated delays.
  • Collaborate closely with the Client Success Manager for task review, time audits, and project approvals.

Performance Professional Excellence

  • Maintain a minimum 85% billable utilization rate, deliver high-quality work with minimal revisions, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Contribute to internal process improvement efforts and support the refinement of delivery tools and systems.

Business Development Support

  • Consultant is expected to identify and escalate business opportunities through client engagement and networking.
  • Contribute to growth efforts through lead sharing, service excellence, and participation in business development initiatives tied to team performance.

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of hands-on HR experience and a strong generalist background.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP or higher certification is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional project management skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and familiarity with Trello, QuickBooks Workforce, Canva, and MailChimp is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication is essential, as is the ability to operate with autonomy and accountability.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily hybrid work in the United States but must live within 50 miles of a key regional area (such as Tulsa or Oklahoma City, OK; Wichita, KS; Dallas, TX; Kansas City, MO).
  • Must have a reliable computer and internet connection.
  • Must have a private, distraction-free home workspace that protects the confidentiality of client information (both verbal and written) and supports professional virtual meetings.
  • Occasional travel (up to 20%) for client meetings, team gatherings, or industry events (must have valid driver’s license).
  • Standard office hours; occasional overtime.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

  • Regulatory Compliance: 100% compliance with all HR regulations and standards.
  • Client Satisfaction: Achieve and maintain an 80% client satisfaction rate.
  • Project Completion: 100% on-time delivery of all projects and tasks.
  • Response Time: Respond to client inquiries within 24 hours.
  • Utilization Rate: Achieve an 85% utilization rate on billable hours.
  • Timecard Accuracy: 100% match with Trello-tracked tasks.
  • Quality Rating Score: Meet or Exceeds.
  • Lead Sharing: At least one qualified lead per quarter
