Detailed Description:
Key responsibilities will include:
- Investigate and file insurance claims for workers compensation, auto, general liability, and property damage, serving as first point of contact working closely with insurance representatives to ensure proper investigation, documentation, and resolution;
- Identify and assess risk, safety, and ergonomic concerns, recommend best practices and resolve critical issues timely;
- Manage medical accommodations and leave requests to include FMLA and personal leaves;
- Ensure timely, consistent, and direct communication with staff and managers regarding leave status and medical accommodations, while ensuring compliance with federal regulations and organizational precedents;
- Identify, create, and support programs related to staff health, safety, engagement and well-being;
- Alert appropriate stakeholders of trends or emergent laws that may impact operations;
- Partner with Employee Experience Supervisor and organizational stakeholders to create educational benefit materials, engaging job ads, and a library of systemwide interview scripts;
- Ensure timely and thorough communication with staff at all levels; actively travels to each location to collaborate with stakeholders to understand operations and promote awareness of key HR principles.

Qualifications/Requirements
Education and key qualifications are:?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration required, with an emphasis in HR preferred;
- PHR certification or equivalent required;
- Three or more years of generalist HR experience required; experience in government entity preferred;
- Two or more years’ experience in property/casualty claims preferred;
- Strong understanding of FMLA, ADA, and WC, and demonstrated ability to interpret intersectionality and apply practically;
- General understanding of OSHA and PEOSH;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, both verbal and written, in a direct and compassionate manner;
- Superior detail orientation and initiative;?
- Proven ability to think long term and understand impact of actions and decisions;
- Strong technical writing and organization skills;
- Reliable transportation required for branch travel.
